Oct 8: WA Homecoming Fair & Artisan Market
Warwick Academy‘s Homecoming Fair and Artisan Market will be held this Saturday [Oct 8] from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “We are so excited to be able to bring back our fair again and this year it will be bigger and better! We have named it The Homecoming and Artisan Fair as we have not been able to have parents, alumni and friends on campus for 2 years because of Covid. We want everyone to come back to school for some fun, entertainment and tours of the school and even includes a beer/wine garden!”
“The Fair games will be good old fashioned traditional fair games complete with a Dunk Tank where the Principal and teachers will take their turn to be sent for a swim!!! Tours of the school will be done from 11 am-12 pm and 1pm -2pm with demonstrations in various departments including cookie decorating, Nail art in the D&T, Drama rehearsals to watch, Science experiments include a presentation on the Marine Science Facility and music on the stage in PPMH.
“DanceSations and In Motion will be there and performing, the food truck will be cooking up a storm, cotton candy and a Beer/wine Garden for those that need some refreshments!
“For the Primary students Bermy Striders will be there with their electric motor bikes and a whole course set up for them to ride the strider bikes.
“There is an Artisan Market in the main school hall [PPMH] with vendors such as DanDesigns- Original paintings, notecards, Christmas cards, Royalty Bookstore- Unique local and international books, Shelly’s Country Crafts -Handcrafted Halloween & Christmas items, Island Girl Papercraft- Greeting cards and gifts, La Petite Soirée-Fun home accessories, 2023 Bermuda diaries, My DeZigns -Greeting cards, paintings, wall hanging signs, Christmas ornaments, Spencer Field- Honey, honey comb, local crafts, Meredith Andrews- Homewares & photography, Mrs. Vonda Burgess- Handmade beach bags, purses & pot holders, Oatbelievable-Locally made Granola, Bermuda Born-Luxury leather handbags, Indigo Song-Eco-friendly clothing, cushions covers, 2023 diaries, Rebecca Little- Locally made jewelry, Endless Creations-Handmade painted pottery, Limestone Cedar-Handmade scented soy wax candles, The Salty Bee-Gift bags, glassware, tea towels, pillow covers, Tea Bar-Tea infusers, tea bags, tea accessories, Flow by Nico- Acrylic pour paintings, Christmas ornaments and the WA Eco/Natural History Club.
“There is an Alumni Volleyball tournament happening in the sports hall as well and all interested alumni are asked to email tmcdowell@warwick.bm to sign up. Bragging rights and first place trophy in the mix. This Fair will have something for everyone! Games for the children, shopping for those oh so important gifts and beer and wine Garden for the adults to enjoy – what’s not to love!”
