According to Par 5 Golf Club President, Edwin Ford, “Par 5 Golf Club Bermuda is committed to giving back to the community through golf.

“It is important that families, and especially our children receive the support they need. Family Centre was chosen as our charity recipient this year because they provide therapeutic services and programmes to families with children between the ages of 4 to 18 at no cost to families in Bermuda. More than ever, children need our support.”

Thania Redman, Family Centre Relationship Development Director said, “We are extremely grateful to Par 5 for selecting our organization as the charity it supports with this wonderful golf tournament that is played in memory of their fallen members.

“These funds will help Family Centre to continue the critical work to facilitate healing, hope and connection to strengthen families and create a healthier Bermuda for our children.”

A spokesperson said, “The Par 5 Golf Club of Bermuda was started in 1997 when a group of friends, now founding members, decided to play a game of golf on a regular basis each week. The Club now operates as an established social golf club with over 80 members.

“Players, non-players, as well as overseas players are accepted.  The only requirement is that you want to be a part of a club that gives back to the community and has fun doing it. Regular golf tournaments are held to raise funds for various charities. For more information on Par 5 Golf Club of Bermuda and the Fallen Heroes Tournament, visit www.par5golfclubbermuda.com
