Turks and Caicos Islands’ Climate Change Summit and CREF 2022: $10,215.38

Roban, JP, MP., was invited by the Department of Environment and Coastal Resources [DECR] under the Turks and Caicos Islands Government as the keynote speaker to address the Turks and Caicos Islands’ Climate Change Summit which was hosted from 21-22 April 2022 on the Island of Providenciales.
“Minister Roban was invited to participate and bring remarks on behalf of Bermuda as their work towards sustainability and climate resilience was recognised and commended.
“The Summit’s theme was “One Earth: Investing in our Planet.” The Summit saw the signing of the Turks and Caicos Islands Climate Charter which outlined their commitment to the environment as well as working together towards safeguarding the Islands from the increasing impact of climate change.
“Minister Roban was also invited to attend and bring remarks on behalf of Bermuda at the 14th Annual Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum [CREF] 2022 in Miami, Florida from 26-28 April 2022.
“CREF 2022 was hosted by New Energy Events at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel. This conference was the largest clean energy conference for the region.
“Minister Roban[Government of Bermuda] was a winner of the CREF 2022 Caribbean Energy Leader MVP Award 2021-2022. The CREF Awards Committee supported the recognition of all leaders who have advanced the renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Caribbean.”
