Amateur Match Play Championships Day 1
The Bermuda Amateur Match Play Championships got underway at Port Royal Golf Course with the Stroke Play Qualifier used to seed the players.
The reigning men’s champion, Jarryd Dillas opted to take the 1st seed without competing in the Stroke Play Qualifier, as did the reigning Ladies Champion, Kim Botelho.
The senior men’s champion, Calvin Hendrickson was unfortunately not able to defend his title this year.
Jevon Roberts had the best round of the day in the men’s championship shooting 1-over par 72, with Mikus Ming finishing second with a round of 3-over par 74, and Adam Perry finished third at 5-over par 76.
In the ladies’ division, Katrin Burnie shot a round of 8-over 79, with Sienna Mosquera, and Ebonie Cox shot rounds of 10-over 81.
Christopher Phillips, and Richard Neame both shot rounds of 6-over par 77’s to lead the senior division.
