Photos: Govt House ‘Year End School BBQ’
Governor Rena Lalgie welcomed students from Victor Scott Primary, Prospect Primary, Northlands Primary and Dellwood Middle Schools to celebrate their success in gardening and pickleball during the 2022-2023 school year.
The Government House posted the photos online below, and said, “Gardening and Pickleball were a perfect match at the Government House “Year End School BBQ.”
“Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Jacob Hawkins welcomed students from Victor Scott Primary, Prospect Primary, Northlands Primary and Dellwood Middle Schools to celebrate their success in gardening and pickleball during the 2022-2023 school year.
“Over the course of the school year, students from Victor Scott Primary and Dellwood Middle learned the primary tenets of gardening and agricultural sustainability. Both schools won numerous awards and recognitions at the 2023 Agricultural Exhibition. In addition to gardening, students and PE teachers from all four schools participated in pickleball sessions on the Government House courts learning all aspects of the game.
“Thanks to the Bermuda Garden Club and the Pickleball Association of Bermuda for the mentorship, instruction, and support this year.”
