Man Dies After Collision In Warwick
The police have confirmed the sad news that a man has died following a collision in Warwick.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:17pm on Friday 28 July, police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious two vehicle collision on Middle Road Warwick, near the entrance to Belmont Hills Golf Course.
“Initial reports suggest that a man traveling east attempted to overtake another vehicle, when he was involved in a collision with a motorcar traveling in the opposite direction.
“The rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment, however, sadly he succumbed to his injuries.
“The the driver of the car and his passenger were conveyed to KEMH for treatment of what has been described as superficial injuries.
“Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is asked to call the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been informed.”
