Kempe Competes In ILCA U21 Championship
The second day of racing at the 2024 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy drew to a close in Majorca, Spain.
This year’s event has attracted 202 sailors, with 137 competing in ILCA 7 including Sebastian Kempe, and 65 in ILCA 6, representing 36 nations, including 28 from Europe.
The day began with a one-hour postponement on shore due to a lack of wind. Eventually, the first warning signal was given around 1:00 pm for the initial group in the sequence, the ILCA 6. Following a general recall, the ILCA 7 yellow fleet commenced with a clear start.
Kempe crossed the line in 42nd place and now is currently in 31st place with 63 points.
