Over 1300 Books To Be Delivered To Schools
Nikita Robinson is once again hosting a community initiative to celebrate World Book Day, with over 1,300 books to be delivered to schools throughout the Island.
A spokesperson said, “Evangelist Nikita Robinson of The Worship Room on Magic102.7FM is inviting the public to support a nursery, preschool, public primary, middle, high school or boys and girls home to help celebrate World Book Day 2024, which is 3 days away.
“1,333 books will be delivered to 38 pre/nursery schools throughout the Island in celebration of World Book Day. In addition, 17 public primary school reading classes and Public Middle and High school libraries, as well as the Boys and Girls Home will be receiving books as well. World Book Day is Nikita’s favorite day of the year, which happens to be 4 days after her 56th birthday this year. The love of literacy will be spread from one end of the island to the other by community sponsors and reading volunteers. Reading Officer Kim Manderson from the Department of Education has lent her support again by retrieving specific book requests from each of the reading specialists at our public primary schools and Bermuda Education Network has lent their support with reading volunteers.
“It’s not too late to participate:
