Ministry Announces Public Health Week Activities
The Department of Health announced Public Health Week festivities, inviting the public to participate in events from April 7 to 12.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Health invites all members of the public to join in the festivities of Public Health Week, April 7 – 12.”
“The Department of Health hosts a weeklong series of free events as part of the Government of Bermuda’s initiative to promote healthy lifestyles,” said Minister of Health, Kim Wilson.
“Public Health Week is an important part of the Government of Bermuda’s mission to promote healthy lifestyles, and I encourage everyone to participate in these free activities. You can gain valuable insights into improving your health and well-being and learn how to make informed choices for a healthier future.”
The Government spokesperson said, “On Tuesday, April 9th, at 12:30 pm, the Department is hosting Positive Parenting, a virtual lunch and learn session. There will also be a free Basic Self-defence demo and techniques, with Roberto Carneiro, Bermuda Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in Victoria Park from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
“On Wednesday, April 10th there is another free event, Let’s Talk Health and Healing for Women at The Pavilion, National Sports Centre from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.
“On Friday, April 12th, the Farmer’s Market and Healthy Living Expo takes place at City Hall: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
