Nahki Wells Scores Winner For Bristol City
[Updated with video] Nahki Wells scored the winning goal in Bristol City’s 1-0 victory away to Plymouth Argyle in the Sky Bet Championship today [April 1].
It was the Bermudian’s first goal since scoring in a 2-2 draw away to Coventry City in the league on January 30.
Wells headed home in the 57th minute after Plymouth goalkeeper Michael Cooper had twice denied the visiting side in quick succession.
Liam Manning, the City head coach, was full of praise for Wells, who came on as a half-time substitute.
“He’s a top pro, Nahki – I can’t speak highly enough of him,” Manning told BBC Sport.
“He’d probably want to play more than he has done but it was an excellent performance stepping on and delivering when required. He came on and had a real positive impact.”
