St George’s Club Hotel Supports UK Charity Golf
The St. George’s Club Hotel will support a United Kingdom charity golf tournament organized by Rosemary Lockwood, the Lady Captain of Wollaton Park Golf Club in England.
A spokesperson said, “The St. George’s Club Hotel has agreed to support a UK charity golf tournament being organized by a long-time Bermuda visitor Rosemary Lockwood, Lady Captain of Wollaton Park Golf Club in England.
Town Crier welcomes Ladies Golf Society to Town of St. George’s:
“This development is an extension to the amazing relationships formed in March 2024 when 25 people from the UK visited Bermuda and participated in the FAM Trip organized by MP for St. George’s West, Kim Swan, a golf professional by trade.”
Mr. Swan said, “Relationships have long been the cornerstone for building our repeat visitor base. We in the Town of St. George are blessed to have a newly renovated challenging golf course, two hotels, lovely beaches and appealing restaurants within our municipality to compliment our historic amenities for visitors.
Young golfer Fergus Montgomerie travels to Bermuda:
“Golfers are known to travel in multiples and spend their money generously. We have the facilities to attract them, but need to also market ourselves overseas to reach them. Our UK-Bermuda FAM Trip in March ensured we showcased the Town of St. George, where our overseas guests were provided unrivaled hospitality thanks to the cooperation of our community and business stakeholders:

“The vacation will be enhanced by adding rounds of golf at Port Royal, Belmont, and St. Regis, together with airport transfers and dining experiences.”
