BSSF Girls Seven A Side Football Results
Warwick Academy successfully defended their title in the Bermuda School Sports Federation Girls Seven-a-Side Football Tournament.
A spokesperson said, “Warwick Academy successfully defended their Bermuda School Sports Federation Girls seven a side football tournament after defeating Bermuda High School 1-0 in the final. Both teams attacked freely but some fine goalkeeping kept the score 0-0 at the end of the first half. Caroline Smatt drove home a well hit effort from the top of the box to give Warwick a the lead midway through the second half. Warwick continued to apply the pressure in the search for a second goal but could not add to their lead.
“Warwick defeated Somersfield Academy 1-0 in the semi final through a Ava-Rose Richardson goal. Jordyn Lewis scored twice to lead BHS to a 4-0 semi final win over St. George’s Preparatory. Evelyn Darrell and Maddison Sousa added to the BHS tally.
“St. George’s would go on to defeat Somersfield Academy 2-1 in the third place match. Somersfield took a 1-0 lead through Molly Morton before Kierra Broadley-Samuels scored twice in the second half to earn the east enders a third place finish.”
