Flora Duffy Reflects On Fourth In T100
Dame Flora Duffy has reflected on her fourth-place finish in the T100 World Triathlon Tour Series Final in Dubai yesterday [November 16].
The Bermudian, racing in only her third race in the series this season, finishing ninth in Ibiza, Spain, and third in Las Vegas, completed the 100-kilometre distance [2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run] in 3hr 33min 05sec.
Duffy had splits of 26:39, 2:01:03 and 1:03:32, which was the fastest run.
She finished fifth in the overall standings with 90 points from three races.
“What a tough race!” Duffy wrote on social media yesterday. “Mixed feelings about my performance but overall happy to stay in the race mentally after a disappointing bike ride and push hard on the run to move up to fourth place.
“The women at the front of the race were flying. Really inspiring to see!
“Thank you to everyone involved in the T100 Triathlon for making this race happen.”
