Smith & Gao Sail To Victory In Winter Series
Anthony Smith and his crew, Hong Gao, dominated the comet class winter series round two in St. George’s Harbor, securing the overall win with a consistent and impressive performance.
Smith and Gao took the first race with authority, setting the tone for their regatta. They followed up with second-place finishes in the next two races, accumulating a total of 5 points to claim the top spot on the podium.
Zaniko Hendrickson and his crew, Shervin Jennings, sailed a strong regatta to finish second overall. They started with a second-place finish in the first race, followed by a fourth in the second. A victory in the final race secured their position with a total of 7 points.
Lorenzo Lambert and Simon Van De Weg rounded out the top three with 8 points. They bounced back from a fourth-place finish in the first race to win the second race, ultimately securing third overall with a third-place finish in the final race.
Gregory Wade and Gino Smith finished a respectable fourth with 10 points, showcasing consistent performance with third-place finishes in the first two races and a fourth in the final race.
