Ball Hockey: Appleby Defeat Spine & Sport
In the lone Bermuda ball hockey winter league match at the PCC Hockey Rink, Appleby defeated Spine & Sport 4-2.
Appleby took the early lead in the first period courtesy of a goal from Danny Hudson. However, Spine & Sport quickly responded, with Ross Rufiage leveling the score before the first break.
The second period followed a similar pattern. Hudson scored his second goal of the game to put Appleby back in front, but Spine & Sport again equalized, this time through Ryan Marshall. The teams remained tied at 2-2 going into the second intermission.
Appleby took control in the third period, scoring two unanswered goals, both off the stick of Chris Merritt, to secure the victory.
