Planet Math To Launch 2025 ‘Math A Thon’
Planet Math announced the official launch of its 2025 Math+A+Thon, kicking off on Friday, February 7th, and running until the end of May.
A spokesperson said, “This highly anticipated event, in collaboration with Global Atlantic Financial Group, aims to bring the excitement of mathematics to schools across Bermuda, continuing Planet Math’s mission to make learning interactive and fun.
A Legacy of Math Education in Bermuda
“The Math+A+Thon, which began in November 2019, was an overwhelming success in its early years, engaging students across the island in math-based challenges and activities. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program was unable to reach every school as planned in its last full run, but it successfully covered the majority.
“With the support of the Global Atlantic Re foundation, this year’s Math+A+Thon will expand its reach, ensuring that students across all targeted schools get to experience the program. Global Atlantic’s commitment to education, through its foundation launched in May 2023, has helped Planet Math continue to grow its offerings, from school programs to summer camps and tutoring.”
What to Expect from the 2025 Math+A+Thon
- School Engagement: The Planet Math team will visit primary and middle schools across Bermuda, bringing math to life through interactive games, competitions, and real-world problem-solving.
- Exciting Challenges: Students will get to participate in live math challenges, fostering teamwork, critical thinking, and a love for numbers.
