Chargers Edge Flyboys in Thrilling Opener
The first game of the evening delivered a dramatic, down-to-the-wire contest, with the Chargers narrowly edging out the New Era Flyboys 69-68.
Kevin Stephens led the charge for the Chargers, contributing a crucial 16 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Sabur Burrows also played a key role, adding 11 points to the Chargers’ tally. Akil Smith was the standout performer for the New Era Flyboys, delivering a sensational 30-point display. AJ Durham added 13 points, while Adam Correia grabbed 4 rebounds, but their efforts were ultimately in vain.
Answers Overcome Wolfpack in Nightcap
The second game of the night saw Caesars Pharmacy the Answer’s secure a 71-65 victory over the Wolfpack. Jonathan Lugo led the way for the Answers, scoring 21 points, while Eric Rowse contributed 18 points. Denis Muli dominated the boards, grabbing an impressive 11 rebounds.
Ajani Carey was the star performer for the Wolfpack, scoring 27 points. Szaine Williams added 19 points, while Carey and Jordan Smith both grabbed 5 rebounds. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome the Answer’s.
