Video: Sunday March 30 “Good News” Spotlight
News that Jack Harvey and Yushae DeSilva-Andrade won the Athlete of the Year Awards, the Aircare sales team won the Linc Service Award, and Chantel Smith of the Department of Financial Assistance earned the Public Service Excellence Award were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Open Mat Bermuda earned five medals at the Pan International Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Kissimmee, Florida, Bermudian cyclist Conor White claimed victory at the 71st Klassika Olot-Trofeu Festes Del Tura in Olot, Spain, and Amateur boxer Adrian Roach has been named Boxer of the Year at the annual Crandall University Blue & Gold Awards.
Other good news stories included, CedarBridge Academy hosted Foreign Languages Week, Sigma Xi Omega announced scholarships, BermudAir welcomed pilot Tariq Lynch-Wade, seven individuals were honored for hospitality training, Elijah Daley winning medals at the Coupe du Québec and Robin Selley earned bronze in Buenos Aires.
