Robin Horsfield 24th In Mountain Bike Race

Robin Horsfield finished 24th in the elite men’s short track [XCC] race at the Pan American Mountain Bike Championships in Belen, Herédia, Costa Rica, on Friday [April 25].

Horsfield, who came 36th overall, completed the course in 22min 31sec – just two minutes behind winner Gustavo Pereira, of Brazil.

“Strong ride from Robin Horsfield today in the short track [XCC] race at the Pan American MTB Championships!” the Bermuda Bicycle Association posted on social media.

“Robin placed 24th in the elite men’s category and 36th overall, finishing the fast and furious race in 22:31 – just two minutes behind the winner!

“A great effort against some of the top mountain bikers in the Americas.”

Horsfield races in the elite men’s Cross-Country Olympic [XCO] race tomorrow.
