ICO Decision On Bermuda Police Service
The Deputy Information Commissioner issued Decision 11/2025 regarding the Bermuda Police Service.
A spokesperson said, “On 28 March 2025, under delegated authority, the Deputy Information Commissioner issued Decision 11/2025, Bermuda Police Service, which reviewed the BPS’s administrative denial of a PATI request seeking telephone call recordings. The Decision affirmed the BPS’s refusal of the PATI request, on the basis that no such records existed, and further action was not required by the Decision.”

The applicant should have included a line in the PATI requests for ALL records, which would have included officer’s notes and anything entered into the pathetic police reporting system.
