In the Carabao Cup, goalkeeper Nathan Trott was rested by Cardiff City, who secured a 3-0 victory over Cheltenham Town. Cardiff’s manager started Matthew Turner in goal, and the team’s win advanced them in the competition.
A Southern League Premier Central derby saw Willie Clemons’ Leiston teammates defeat Reggie Lambe’s Needham Market FC 2-1. The winning goal came late from Joe McNeil at Bloomfields Stadium.

In another match, Harry Twite’s Loughborough Student FC teammates edged Mickleover FC 1-0 at the Loughborough University Stadium. Jutorre Burgess was also an unused substitute for Harborough Town, which defeated Kettering Town FC 1-0.
J’Nai Butterfield-Steede and his Wythenshawe Town teammates experienced a 2-1 defeat to Trafford FC at the Shawe View Stadium.
