Khano Smith’s Rhode Island defeated Tampa Bay Rowdies 5-0 at home in the United Soccer League Championship yesterday [October 11].
A former Bermuda national team captain and New England Revolution winger, Smith impressed in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural season.
Rhode Island are within two points of clinching a spot in the Eastern Conference play-offs with two games remaining.
