Bermuda Ball Hockey: ACT & BDA Spirits Win

The Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League began its season with a doubleheader that produced 18 goals across two games.

ACT 4, CG 3

The first match saw ACT defeat CG by a score of 4-3. Shane Matchett scored two goals in the first period to give ACT a 2-0 lead. CG responded in the second period with goals from Danny Hudson and Jeremy Estey to tie the game at 2-2.

In the third period, Matchett completed a hat trick for ACT, and Anthony Kapsimalis scored to make it 4-2. CG’s Dallas Montgomery scored a late goal, but ACT held on for the win.

BDA Spirits 8, Spine & Sport 3

BDA Spirits defeated Spine & Sport 8-3 in the second game. Jake Fenske of Spine & Sport scored the first goal of the game, but BDA Spirits responded with goals from Jeffrey Ingelman and Ryan Marshall to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

BDA Spirits extended their lead in the second period, outscoring Spine & Sport 5-2. Mathieu Ingelman and Alex Larouche each scored two goals, and Jeffrey Ingelman added his second goal of the game. Spine & Sport’s goals came from Fenske and Rob Rego. Patrick Bousfield scored in the third period to seal the 8-3 victory for BDA Spirits.
