Golfers Continue Competing In CGA In Jamaica
Bermuda’s golf teams maintained strong positions on the leaderboard at the Caribbean Golf Association [CGA] 4-Ball Championship in Jamaica.
Tracy Burgess and Ann Symonds hold a commanding lead in the Ladies 45+ Division. The pair shot a 1-under par 71 at Cinnamon Hill Golf Course, putting them at Even Par overall and six strokes ahead of their closest competitor, Jamaica. Trinidad & Tobago is in third.
In the Men’s 70+ Division, Quinton Sherlock Sr and Hav Trott secured a two-stroke lead with a second-round score of 2-under par 70. They lead the Bahamas and Jamaica B.
The Seniors Division remains competitive, with Bermudian golfers Mark Ray and Roger Brangman tied for third place with Trinidad & Tobago at 1-over par. They are trailing leaders Jamaica, who are at 8-under par, and Barbados, in second at 5-under.
In the Ladies 25+ Division, Morgan Lightbourne and Sarah Dwyer are in third place at 19-over par, behind joint leaders Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.
Richard Marriott and Jonathan James shot a 2-over par 74 in the Mid Amateurs division, but fell to seventh place at 10-over par. Trinidad & Tobago leads the division at 8-under par.
