23-Year-Old Woman Injured In Sandys Collision
A collision between a motorcycle and a truck on Middle Road in Sandys on Thursday morning [Dec 11] left a 23-year-old woman injured.
A police spokesperson said, “Inquiries are ongoing after a collision involving a motorcycle and a truck Thursday, 11th December 2025, along Middle Road in Sandys parish.
“Apparently around 9:20am that day, the truck driver was travelling in the westbound lane of Middle Road and the motorcyclist was travelling in the opposite lane of Middle Road when their vehicles collided, as the truck driver attempted to turn on to Halt Lane.
“The rider, understood to be a 23-year-old Sandys parish woman, sustained several injuries and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
“The truck driver, said to be a 51-year-old Sandys parish man, was not hurt.
“Both vehicles were damaged and traffic diversions were necessary for approximately two hours, while the scene was processed.
