MSA Welcomes National Women’s Football Team
Mount Saint Agnes Academy hosted the Bermuda National Senior Women’s Football Team, who shared stories of perseverance and pride with students.
A spokesperson said, “Students and staff at Mount Saint Agnes Academy delivered an energetic and heartfelt welcome today to the Bermuda National Senior Women’s Football Team, celebrating their visit with cheers, Bermuda flags, and a powerful display of school spirit.
“During the assembly, the players and coaching staff took the stage to share their experiences representing Bermuda at the national level. Their remarks highlighted the perseverance, discipline, and national pride required to compete in international football—messages that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
“Team Captain Eva Frazzoni opened the presentation by reflecting on the honor and responsibility of leading the squad. She then introduced several teammates who shared compelling personal stories about their athletic journeys and the challenges they have overcome:
- Jayla Peets Butterfield – the team’s youngest player, inspiring students with her early accomplishments in the sport.
- Victoria Davis – balancing a full-time career while competing internationally and navigating her transition from goalkeeper to defender.
- Keunna Dill – pursuing her football career while embracing the responsibilities of motherhood.
- Kenni Thompson – competing professionally with AFC Bournemouth Women and sharing insights from the international stage.
- Jaden Masters – demonstrating extraordinary resilience after four ACL tears and five surgeries.
- Maddison Mobray – offering reflections on her experiences playing overseas.
“MSA also proudly highlighted the leadership of Head Coach Naquita Robinson, the school’s own Physical Education teacher. She is joined by Assistant Coach Calvin Dill, her brother. Their collaboration marks a significant moment in Bermuda’s sporting history, believed to be the first time a national team has been guided by a brotherandsister coaching team.
“Students engaged enthusiastically in a questionandanswer session, asking about the athletes’ international travel, the countries they have visited, and even who holds the record for most goals scored. The exchange showcased the students’ genuine excitement and interest in the sport and the team’s achievements.
“The team’s honesty, determination, and commitment to excellence—both on and off the field—left a lasting impression on the school community. Their visit served as an inspiring reminder that with dedication, resilience, and belief in oneself, great goals are within reach.
“MSA extends its sincere thanks to the players and coaching staff for taking the time to motivate and uplift our students. MSA is proud to celebrate their accomplishments and honored to have welcomed them to campus.”
