Ministry Issues Three Road Traffic Notices
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of “three upcoming road traffic notices affecting Southampton, Pembroke and St. David’s.”
A Government spokesperson said, “These include a single-lane closure on Middle Road in Southampton for wall construction, a road closure on Woodlands Road in Pembroke for Butterfield & Vallis’s Annual Bermuda Walls event, and temporary traffic restrictions in St. David’s for the Mohawk Grand Prix Bicycle, Go Kart, and Motor Go Kart Races.
“On Middle Road in Southampton, near Avocado Lane, a single-lane closure will be in effect from Tuesday, 7 April 2026 through the end of April 2026 to facilitate wall construction. Working hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and traffic will be managed by representatives from Intelligent Excavating & Landscaping using stop-and-go signs and traffic lights. Motorists are encouraged to use South Road, Church Road or Lighthouse Road as alternate routes.

“On Woodlands Road in Pembroke, a road closure will be in place on Sunday, 12 April 2026, from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for Butterfield & Vallis’s Annual Bermuda Walls event.

“The closure will extend from the Serpentine Road roundabout to Desilva Close near Elite Fitness. Traffic controls will be managed by Butterfield & Vallis representatives using barricades and signs, and motorists are advised to travel via St. John’s Road or Serpentine Road.
“The Ministry also advises the public of temporary traffic restrictions for the Mohawk Grand Prix Bicycle, Go Kart, and Motor Go Kart Races, which will take place in the St. David’s area on Friday, 3 April 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“Traffic controls will be implemented to support the safe staging of the event, and motorists are asked to plan accordingly and follow directions from police officers and race marshals in the area.”
