Cricket Squad Named For Emirates Series

The Bermuda Cricket Board has announced the squad for the 2010 ICC Intercontinental Shield featuring Bermuda v United Arab Emirates, which will be played from July 5 – July 8 at the National Sports Centre, North Field. The list is notable in that 2007 World Cup star Dwayne “Sluggo” Leverock, who was included in the training squad is not named in the list. The teams for the 50 over games and the T20 have not been selected as of yet.

David Moore, National Coach stated “The squad that has been selected is larger than usual, but this is to accommodate for the competition amongst the fast bowlers and the fact that some of the bowlers are returning from injury. I am expecting continued improvement from the group and I am looking for a very good performance from all players that make the final team. Please note that the squad will be trimmed and those players that don’t make the final squad will be available for their Clubs this weekend.”
