Rego & Lines Are ITF Junior Champions
Christopher Rego has won the Bahamas ITF/COTECC Junior Tournament 2011.
Rego defeated Jorge Nunez of Mexico in straight sets 7-5, 6-0. Rego broke Nunez in the first game then held to go up 2-0 in the first set. Each player then held for the next 3 games before Nunez broke Rego and held to go up 4-3.
Both players won held their serves for Nunez to lead 5-4, then Rego settled down and applied the gas to take the next 9 games in a row to win 7-5, 6-0.
Nick Lines has won the All Bermudian Consolation Final against Tanner Boyle. The pair went three sets with Lines winning the first set 4-1 and Boyle winning the second set 4-0 before Lines won the final set 10-8.
Rego then done the double when he teamed up with Dylan Hall and defeated Nunez and Alan Valdez both of Mexico in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 to win the Boy’s 14 Doubles.
