Man Arrested After Assault On North Shore

A 43-year-old man was arrested last night [May 24] after an assault on North Shore Road in Devonshire.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9pm on Thursday May 24th, police responded to a report of a disturbance along North Shore Road in Devonshire in the area of Lookout Lane.

“On arrival, it was ascertained that two individuals had been involved in an altercation. The victim, a 39 year old Devonshire man was injured and conveyed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment.

“The suspect, a 43 year old Devonshire man, was subsequently located by officers and arrested in connection with this incident. Inquiries are underway.”

In addition, the police said they arrested eight people for outstanding warrants, four people on suspicion of impaired driving and responded to 14 loud noise complaints across the island.

“The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation over the Bermuda Day holiday. During the holiday period there were no reported firearm incidents and no reports of significant antisocial behaviour,” said a police spokesperson.
