Perozzi Pulls Out of Fight Due To Pregnancy
Boxing champion Teresa Perozzi was scheduled to get back in ring in November, however has withdrawn from the fight as she is expecting her second child.
The 39-year-old boxer was due to take on Yaharia Hernandez from the Dominican Republic in a match at the Fairmont Southampton on November 29th.
Regulations state she is supposed to defend her title within a set amount of time, and when asked what may happen as she will go past the deadline without defending the title, she said she wasn’t sure as of yet, but she may be stripped of the title which will become vacant.
Ms Perozzi said she is a little disappointed that she will not be able to defend her WBA Middleweight Title, but said she is happy about her pregnancy and plans to be back in the ring in a year.
