      Wrong colors though!

  4. Lick My Chicken says:

From the pics, it looks like the opening/event was well attended. nice.

  5. VJ says:

This store has been a blessing to the community, especially since the closure of White’s. The staff is super friendly and clearly value each and every one of their customers.
I wish the Roques and staff every success for their business. Good, good people.

  6. Nice Colors says:

    Bailey’s Bay all de vay!!!!!!

But good luck on the business.

  7. Coffee says:

Why wasn’t Craig there ? Could the lack of upfront appearance fees factor in him not cutting the ribbon ?

    • inna says:

Yes, that is exactly what it is !! The Premier did not attend this grand opening because of the fee the government charges for his public appearances around the island! Jesus-friggin-Christ i have heard it ALL now!!

      • Coffee says:

You are right little wise one . The government isn’t and never was in the business of charging for public appeances by the premier. But Craig is a very , very busy man nowadays , you know especially after politica broke . It would seem that Dry palms are not welcomed nor are they encouraged .

    • Mike Hind says:

God, you’re a sad little person.

    • Kangoocar says:

Whenever I see a post from coffee, the word ” imbecile ” comes to mind, not sure why????

      • Sandy Bottom says:

I think you’re being a bit unkind to imbeciles there.

        • Kangoocar says:

@sandy, thanks to bringing that to my attention, I now apologize to all imbeciles!! I never meant to take you to the depths of coffee!!!

      • Coffee says:

Hear now Great Defenders of the OBA . Jobs were created , the business is in Craig’s backyard , it sells gas from the same franchise that Craig and his fellow passenger on Landows private jet sells . Craig should have been there at the Grand opening …Don’t you think ?
Since Whites closed St.Davids Islanders had no choice but to travel far and wide for a can of cream , this is a community store , for the community , built by the community to serve (according to Toni Daniels ) real Bermudians and BIG CRAIG COULDN’T IN SOME SMALL GESTURE SUPPORT THE OPENING … COME ON NOW , I QUESTION HIS COMMITMENT TO THE CREATION OF JOBS IN HIS COMMUNITY .

        • Mike Hind says:

And I question your integrity, your honesty and your courage.

You’ve proven, time and again, that you are nothing more than a shill for the PLP, willing to say anything to denounce the current government. These pathetic plays are not only tiresome, they’re not working. People are sick of this constant shrieking about everything they do… Now you’re shrieking about something they DIDN’T do!

We deserve a better level of conversation than this. You are what is wrong with the conversation.

          Do better.

          • Coffee says:

It matters not to me what you think ! That’s not important , your thoughts about me carry absolutely no weight little strummer .

It does matter to the people of St.Davids whether or not their Premier recognizes the contribution by a entrepreneur in their community , to provide jobs and services . After all the mantra of the OBA is personified in the realization in bringing this fantastic enterprise to fruition …. Don’t you think ?

A little encouragement by the leader of the One Bermuda Alliance would have gone a long way …

            • Mike Hind says:

You’re babbling nonsense. Again. Do better. I beg you.

        • Mike Hind says:

And your obvious misrepresentation of Ms. Daniels’ piece shows either your motivations or your complete ignorance.

I’m thinking a combination of both. Which is it?

        • Sandy Bottom says:

I don’t recall Cox giving a rats arse when White’s closed. Too busy off buying hats, collecting vanity awards, and telling us the economy was “rebounding”. While her Ministers were spending their time doing inside planning approval deals for each other.

          • Coffee says:

And Craig’s setting a blistering pace along the very same vector .

            • Sandy Bottom says:

It scares you lot to death whenever they look like succeeding doesn’t it.

              • Coffee says:

No it scares people when your premier doesn’t acknowledge success .

                • Sandy Bottom says:

You were fine though when your Premier bought hats while thousands of Bermudians lost their jobs.

                  • Coffee says:

Sandy , only a fool gloats over the loss of jobs under any administration . Today someone ,somewhere in Bermuda will lose a job .

Contained under those exquisite hats is one of Bermudas finest brains . We all know that the premiership of Bermuda was quite a distraction from her highly paid profession …. But Craig . Now Craig thought he figured out a way to stop depending on the miserly salary of the premier of this tiny jurisdiction .

  8. Mumbo jumbo says:

Red…it’s because if we are cut …do we not bleed red…one as the other…..snow balls?…are you serious?
