Two Motorcycles Collide In Smith’s Parish

Around midnight on Friday, September 12th first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Knapton Hill and Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish.

A police spokesperson said, “It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Knapton Hill and another motorcycle was being ridden along Harrington Sound Road when the vehicles collided at the junction.

“Both riders, a 22 year old St. George’s man and a 27 year old Smith’s parish woman, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Cletus Cyris at the Southside Police Station on telephone number 293-2222.”

    Dangerous and partly blind junction which needs great care,unfortunately many speed along this road and this is the result.

    There should really be a fatal accident everyday the way people ride and drive in this country – and even that would be lucky as far as statistics go – probably more like
    2 or 3 a day would be correct the way these guys drive and ride!!
