Southampton Rangers Leaders Scholarships

The Southampton Rangers have given away the first annual Future Leaders Scholarships, with two young students awarded $750 to put towards their studies.

The scholarships were handed out to Willie Clemons, who is studying Sports Management at Thomas College, and Donte Brangman, who is studying Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University.

The $750 scholarships were presented by Southampton Rangers Club President Mr. Gerri Saltus.

Mr. Saltus said, “At Southampton Rangers, we have been evolving. Our mission is to return as the hub of the community and to use sports as a tool to produce productive citizens.

“This marks a special day for us as we present two young men with the first ever Southampton Rangers Future Leaders Scholarship. These young men have shown tremendous talent both on and off the field, and we would like show our support to their development with this scholarship.

“This is the start of many initiatives that will allow us to cement our position as a better community outlet.”
