Sakari Famous Wins Carifta Medal In High Jump

The 2015 Carifta Games continue in St. Kitt’s, with Bermuda’s Sakari Famous delivering the island’s second track and field medal of these Games, claiming a bronze medal in the high jump event.

Bermuda also had other athletes in action, with Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA] President Donna Watson saying, “Ethan jumped a PB of 7.01m to make it to the finals and placed 8th overall.

“Michaiah and Aaron, in his first Carifta, ran great races in the 800m, with Michaiah running a PB of 1.59.39 and just missing out on the finals placing 9th.

“Kionje Somner ran a great 200m placing 3rd in his heat with a season best of 21.69, but missing out in a place in the finals.”
