Very, very sad no one is safe, at any hour of the day or night. Are we now, to call our intended destination seconds before stepping out of our private vehicles and placing our house key in the door, and carry something to defend our-selves. How about our seniors, some who must do business and attend doctor appointments ?

  2. Wright IS Wright says:

That is SO sad and 65 years old come on people what’s the problem….

  3. We must do better says:

  4. Problem says:

Looks like Police better start their stop and searches again….so we can get to the bottom of this.

  5. Truth Hurts says:

What was he doing out at 3:45 a.m. anyways? Time to already be home in bed!

    • Smh says:

He could be a taxi driver or maybe having a fun night out? But who cares. That’s not the point.

    • Triangle Drifter says:

Party animal. Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.

    • Legacy says:

What? Why can’t he be out at that hour? He should be able to be out at any hour he wants without worrying about being robbed. This makes me sick-these guys are too lazy to earn their own money and so rob someone else of money they worked for. This is so disgusting!

    • Ann Raphael says:

Some people still have to make a living. I think your response was quite assinine. What he was doing is none of your business!

“…. how the youth behave and the seniors are treated…” :-(

  7. Takbir Karriem Sharrieff says:

Interesting how people always hold the victims of crime responsible.Crime is never the alternative ,anytime of day, anywhere, anytime,by anybody.Age ,sex, race culture, are no excuse for perpetrating criminal acts on another individual. The police are paid to investigate these crimes and to bring these criminals to justice but it everybody’s responsibility to assist them,as much as possible. No passing the buck we all have to pull together on this one.

  8. Try It says:

the time is immaterial. anytime is the wrong time. the scum sucking louse when caught should never see the light of day again and be branded for life as a COWARD

  9. Coffee says:

When he is caught and convicted , the DPP must sentence him with an enhanced period of incarceration for elder abuse .

I wish our Premier and minister of national security would do more to protect our seniors instead of rubber stamping bills to increase land tax , health insurance , and lower pension payments for seniors .

    • Zevon says:

They did the opposite of “rubber stamping”. The read the bill and corrected it. If they’re paying you $5 a post you should try to do beter.

      • Coffee says:

The opposition read the bill and made the UBP/BDA /OBA correct it .

        • serengeti says:

          Another re-write of history.

        • Jus' Wonderin' says:

Yeah the PLP/OBA/BIU made them do it…..laughable at best. How much are they paying you over there at Alaska Hall?

  10. Legacy says:

I have a relative who’s in his late 60′s and I feel sorry for the fool who decides to try and rob him. There had better be a bunch of them because he would easily beat the crap out of them if it was one or two guys. He’s always done martial arts and is very strong and fit for his age-they would need to call the ‘amba-lance’ for the robbers after he was done with them!

  11. mmm says:

Hope-fully, every-one will see a need to pay closer attention to when they leave or return home, as well as any other place they may go. Its simply impossible for the police to be on every side road through-out Bermuda..and at every business premises..and every sporting event 24 x 7 . Private security will cost quite a bit, and they are not equipped or legally permitted to use tasers, etc. It will be interesting to hear from the leaders of our country and various agencies.

  12. JUNK YARD DOG says:

There are 10 + reasons why we are not given the rights similar to that of the USA’s second amendment.

One pasive way the you can secure your own security is through the power of he vote.

  13. PANGAEA says:

When you arrive home at any time of the day or night avoid making direct a “bee line ” to your property, this is where a drive by would alert you to something that could be out of order , this tactic will enable you to make a cell phone call to the Police with a description.

“Junk yard :::” omitted to suggest that a regular cell phone with quick dial to 911 could be a life saver day and night.

  14. Donna thomas says:

some people at the age of 65 still have a life and some are still working, people do not have no business asking what is a 65 year doing out at 3;45am
