Advisory: Road Works Set For April 1 – 3

The Ministry of Public Works is advising the public about upcoming road works that will take place from Saturday [April 1] to Monday [April 3].

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to advise the public of the following upcoming road works:

“On Saturday April 1st from 8am until 5pm there will be traffic controls in place along East Broadway – both inbound and outbound – to allow for the resurfacing of the road. There will be no right turns permitted at Lane Hill while works are being carried out.

“On Sunday April 2nd [morning] traffic management measures will be in place to allow for the resurfacing of the Crow Lane roundabout. Trimingham Road will be closed to traffic coming into town and traffic will be directed via Berry Hill Road.

“On Sunday April 2nd [afternoon] traffic management measures will be in place along Middle Road from the Paget Post Office to Valley Road to allow for the resurfacing of the road.

“Starting on Monday April 3rd and continuing for the rest of the week, there will be a one lane closure along North Shore Road from Glebe Road to Band Room Lane to allow for road resurfacing.

“Starting on Monday April 3rd and continuing for the rest of the week, there will be a one lane closure on Marsh Folly Road from Dutton Avenue to the St. Monica’s Road junction to allow paving works to go ahead.

“Starting on Monday April 3rd and continuing for the rest of the week, there will be traffic management measures in place to regulate one lane traffic on South Road, Paget, by the Harmony Club, for trenching works. St Paul’s Lane will be closed to vehicles exiting Middle Road.

“Starting on Monday April 3rd and continuing for the rest of the week, Blackwatch Pass Road will be closed from 9am until 5pm so that remedial work can be carried out.

“On Sunday April 3 from 8am until 5pm traffic will be reduced to single file over The Causeway/Longbird bridge to allow for re-decking works. Traffic should allow extra time due to the expected congestion caused by the works.

“It should be noted that these works are weather dependant.”
