Car Driver Crashes Into Wall In Pembroke

A car driver struck a wall in a residential area in Pembroke and initial information suggests that no one was injured, the police have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:50am Saturday, July 14th police officers were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash on The Glebe Road in Pembroke.

“Details remain limited at this time but it appears that the car driver involved struck a wall in a residential area.

“However, initial information suggests that no one was injured. Inquiries are underway and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

The police also said, “Inquiries continue regarding Friday morning’s two motorcycle collision on Crow Lane in Pembroke near the junction with Lane Hill.

“It now appears that the collision occurred as a male motorcyclist and a female motorcyclist were traveling toward the City of Hamilton, with the male rider attempting to turn into the RUBiS service station.

“The riders involved – believed to be a 28-year-old Devonshire woman and a 26-year-old Southampton man – were hurt.

“At last check this afternoon [July 15th] neither of the injured individuals were understood to be in the hospital.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses to the 10:30am Friday, July 13th collision are still asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

    amazing how in the midst of a road safety campaign walls are still being struck and accidents appear to have increased.

    I’ve said many a time that all walls should be removed. If they removed all walls then accidents like this would be never happen at all. But I don’t expect PLP will do anything about it and people will continue to crash into walls – even though they have been proved to be extremely dangerous. PLP just doesn’t care.

          There is a fine line between sarcasm and stupidity, and the later defines blaming PLP for walls.
          Some times the walls break the speed and direction where the vehicles end up.
