British Airways Unveils New Lounges At Gatwick
British Airways has unveiled its luxurious new premium lounges and check in area at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal, with the company saying it will “enhance the travel experience for customers to Bermuda, whose flights depart from and arrive at London Gatwick South Terminal.”
A spokesperson said, “With sweeping views of the runway, the new First and Club lounges have more than double the seating and 40 per cent more floor space than the airline’s former lounge within North Terminal.
“The terminal move will enhance the travel experience for customers to Bermuda, whose flights depart from and arrive at London Gatwick South Terminal.
Simon Brooks, British Airways Senior Vice President Commercial, North America said: “Customers are already excited about the upgraded facilities of the South Terminal. They will benefit from an upgraded check-in area and easier access to public transport.”
The Gatwick Railway Station provides direct accessibility from the South Terminal to and from Central London.
“The new lounges feature stunning floor-to-ceiling windows and double height ceilings, with separate spaces to work, unwind or dine in a calm and relaxing environment. Customers can can select dishes from hot and cold buffets and enjoy champagne and fine wines in one of the four bar areas.
“Connectivity is provided via high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi and features include a separate study area with project tables, PCs and a printer for customers needing to work, and modern shower suites with Elemis amenities.
“Even the youngest travellers can be kept entertained ahead of their flight as the lounge features a colourful Kidzone, with comfortable seating outside for parents to keep an eye on their children while they play table football and Xbox games.
Mr. Brooks said, “The move to the South Terminal at Gatwick is an exciting opportunity for British Airways customers to enjoy the highest levels of service from the airline. It is a great start to this year when we are celebrating the 80th anniversary year of service to Bermuda.”
