BCHC Earn BNSC Certification For Second Time

January 29, 2019

Noting that they are “always striving to meet and exceed international standards,” Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre announced that the Centre has successfully earned the Bermuda National Standards Committee [BNSC] Certification for a second time.

The Centre first received this achievement in 2014. The BNSC certification programme demonstrates a high level of operational and programmatic management.

“The Senior Management team and Board of Directors felt that embarking on the BNSC Certification process was vital to ensure that we were operating at the highest standards,” says Lynne Woolridge, Chief Executive Officer. “With a new management team in place and expanding services, it’s important to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to excellence.”

The BNSC offers accreditation and certification to non-profit organisations and government services to create opportunities to strengthen their operations and programmes to demonstrate that they are operating at an international level of best practice and strengthening sustainability.

The purpose of certification is to help charities and other private organisations that are seeking government and community funds to demonstrate through compliance with a set of internationally recognised standards of practice that they are effectively and efficiently operating.

The Bermuda National Standards Committee [BNSC] is a public-private partnership focused on supporting increased accountability, programme evaluation, and formal recognition of those organisations that meet or exceed the standards required for accreditation and certification.
