Man In Critical Condition In ICU, Woman Arrested
A 62-year-old man remains in critical condition in the ICU after being struck by a car while walking along North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, and the 41-year-old car driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later released on police bail.
A police spokesperson said, “At last check around 11:20am today [January 18th] the 62-year-old man – said to be from Hamilton parish – seriously injured when a car struck him as he walked along North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near Trinity Church Road around 3pm Thursday, remained listed in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
“The driver involved, said to be a 41-year-old St. George’s woman, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later released on police bail.
“In addition, the car has been impounded, pending further inquiries.
“Any witnesses that have not already come forward are encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
