Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crow Lane Crash
[Updated] A 22-year-old male motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries, including head injuries, in a motorcycle crash on Crow Lane early this morning.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:45am Sunday, June 23rd a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash occurred on Crow Lane in Pembroke in the vicinity of the north round-a-bout.
“Details are still emerging. However, it appears that the 22-year-old male motorcyclist involved was traveling out of the City of Hamilton along Crow Lane when he struck the kerb near Corkscrew Hill.
“The rider sustained multiple injuries – including head injuries – and was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
“At last check he was expected to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. An update on his medical condition is anticipated in due course.
“Traffic diversions were in effect for over two hours while the scene was processed. Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact Sergeant Bernadette Lawrence on 717-2349 or via her e-mail blawrence@bps.bm at the earliest opportunity.”
Update June 27, 6.48pm: A police spokesperson said, “At last check this morning [June 27th] the 22-year-old male motorcyclist and off duty Constable seriously injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred around 2:45am Sunday, June 23rd on Crow Lane in Pembroke remained in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
