Another Burglary At Vera P. Card In St George’s

Marking the third burglary at Vera P. Card in St George’s in recent months, a burglary occurred at the store early this morning [July 11] with two males gaining entry into the store and stealing jewellery.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:45am today [July 11th] a burglary occurred at the Vera P. Card store on Water Street in St. George’s.

“It appears that two male suspects gained entry into the store and stole a quantity of jewellery before making good their escape.

“This is the third burglary at Vera P. Card in recent months, following two similar incidents around 3am May 11th and around 4am May 24th.

“An investigation into this latest incident is underway and witnesses – particularly any passing motorists or members of the public walking in the vicinity that saw suspicious individuals or vehicles just before or after 3:45am Thursday – are encouraged to call Detective Constable Seymour Foote on 717-2282 or Detective Constable Mark McCormack on 717-2207.

“In addition, any businesses in the surrounding area with security camera footage of suspicious activity around the time of this latest burglary are also invited to contact Detective Constable Foote or Detective Constable McCormack as soon as possible.

“Alternatively, those with relevant information that wish to provide it anonymously can call the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”

    no what is apparent is the lack of BPS presence in the town. another thanks to the plp who closed this station and with the horrific economic position they have put us in cant afford to open it. Your plp reps you voted in are doing what they do best ” nothing” waiting for another photo op at the new hotel site im sure, but aren’t smart enough to know they didn’t have a part in it so why only tried to stop it
    Get the police back its simple what will it take …
