Videos: Bermuda Championship Second Round

The swirling winds sweeping across the Port Royal Golf Course shattered many a player’s dreams today in the PGA Bermuda Championship. Yesterday there were more than 80- players under par. Today? Less than two dozen.

Americans Ryan Armour and Wyndham Clark are tied on top of the leaderboard at -8. Wyndham repeated yesterday’s feat of scoring an eagle on the par five #2. Armour shot a one-under 70 this morning while Clark was three-under with a 68.
Kramer Hickok had five eagles on his way to being three-under and is -7 for the Championship.

There is a two-way tied for third between Doc Redman and Ollie Schneiderjans at six-under.
The best second round belonged to Kiradech Aphibarnrat, who scored five birdies on his way to five-under. He is in a six-way tie for sixth at five-under. Also tied for six is yesterday’s leader, Peter Malnati.
The inaugural winner of the Bermuda Championship, Brendon Todd, was +4 and didn’t make the cut.

Unfortunately, the ferocious winds damage was the most evident in Bermudian Anthony Phipps’ play as he shot an 85, which was 14 over par. He had two triple bogeys, a double bogey, and seven bogeys. Phipps finishes at 19 over. Camiko Smith was ten over today as well for the tournament. Michael Sims was +3 and five over in total.
