Results: Premier & First Division Football
Footballers in the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with PHC Zebras, North Village Rams, Dandy Town Hornets, BAA, and Southampton Rangers all earning wins, while one match ended in a draw.
Premier Division
PHC Zebras 4 – Robin Hood 0
At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras defeated Robin Hood 4 – 0. Paul Simons gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 42nd minute.
Early in the second half, Shavon Nisbett doubled the PHC Zebras lead. Marco Warren then got in on the scoring act in the 79th minute, before T’ysi Showers closed out the scoring in the 85th minute.
North Village Rams 2 – Hamilton Parish 0
At Bernard Park, the North Village Rams defeated Hamilton Parish 2 – 0. Nacori Smith gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 25th minute; they took that lead to the break.
Jaizel Smith Deshields doubled the North Village Rams lead by finding the back of the net in the 72nd minute.
Dandy Town Hornets 3 – Boulevard Blazers 0
At the BAA Field, the Dandy Town Hornets picked up a 3 – 0 victory over the Boulevard Blazers.
Azendae Furbert gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 33rd minute. Cecoy Robinson doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead in the 44th minute.
Tomiko Goater scored the lone goal of the second half for the Dandy Town Hornets in the 84th minute to earn them the three points.
First Division
Young Men Social Club 3 – Paget Lions 3
At Bernard Park, Young Men Social Club and the Paget Lions played to a 3 – 3 draw. Ryan Parris gave Young Men Social Club the lead in the third minute when he converted from the spot. Jinairo Johnson doubled the lead in the 13th minute by scoring at the back post from a corner. The Paget Lions got a goal back in the 21st minute when Shakir Smith scored.
In the 54th minute, David Jones restored the Young Men Social Club’s two goal lead, but in the 78th minute Paget Lions pulled within one when Kushae Hypolite scored, and then in stoppage time Antwan Russell found the back of the net for the Paget Lions to earn a point.
Somerset Eagles 0 – BAA 2
After a scoreless first half at the White Hill Field, BAA got two second half goals to defeat the Somerset Eagles 2 – 0.
Jaidyn Robinson gave BAA the lead in the 64th minute and Cole Summers doubled the lead in the 77th minute.
Ireland Rangers 1 – Southampton Rangers 2
At the Somerset Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers edged Ireland Rangers 2 – 1. Isiah Taylor gave the Southampton Rangers the lead in the eighth minute, but Tahj Wade equalized for Ireland Rangers in the 61st minute. Ralston Wright got the Southampton Rangers’ winner in the 90th minute.
