News that Dame Flora Duffy officially received her Damehood at Buckingham Palace, Berkeley Institute students taking part in the Virtual Enterprise International program launched ReLeaf Limited, W.O.M.B. held its annual Female Entrepreneurs Market, and Appleby welcomed new pupils Kinika Armstrong, Jeffrey Blair, and Ryann Hollis to its two-year legal trainee programme were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Dame Flora and Tyler Smith were named Elite Triathletes of Year, Amira El Karfa won her first tennis tournament in England, Taylor White won two races at a swim meet, Caleb Ingham and La Salle defeated Villanova, and Kole Hall scored in a Chester win.
Other good news stories included the Blank Canvas store opening at Hamilton Princess, a ‘Gold Hunt’ event offering a $500 prize, seniors getting set to receive garden boxes from the Rotary Club, the ‘Toys for Tots’ Christmas initiative launching, Fresh Breath Dental holding a Community Day, and Clarien launching its Holiday GiveBack Campaign.
