KPMG’s Round The Grounds Race On March 12
KPMG in Bermuda and the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Club said they “are excited to be bringing back the annual Round the Grounds Junior race after a two-year hiatus.”
A spokesperson said, “The event will be held on March 12, 2023 at the Botanical Gardens and will kick off at 1:00pm. The races will run by age group, starting with the four-year-olds who run the 400-metres course, six-year-olds who run the 700-metre course right through to eight-year-olds and up who tackle 1 mile.
“This year, the organisers are challenging the 13 to 16-year-old racers to beat the previous record and win a $100 cash prize. The current record for female is 6:04:52 and for male is 4:58:99, both set in 2018.
“Registration is online at www.racedayworld.com with the deadline at 5pm on Friday, March 10, 2023. Number collection will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the KPMG offices lobby on Par-la-ville Road between 10:00am and 1:00pm. Late registration, at an additional charge, will also be available at this time. No registration will be accepted on the day of the races, but you can collect your numbers on the day if you wish.
“All racers will receive a participation medal following their race, and can then join their families and friends to enjoy all the activities taking place on race day. This includes crafts, organised by Masterworks, a bouncy castle, and a variety of food and treats.
“Participants are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they have ample time to prepare for their race as the road and parking can become quite busy. Round the Grounds is always a highlight on the KPMG calendar, so come out and have some fun!”
