Dr Brown To Host Book Signings In Jamaica
Former Premier Dr. Ewart Brown will return to Jamaica for two special book signings later this month.
A spokesperson said, “Following the successful debut of his long-awaited autobiography “Whom Shall I Fear? Pushing the Politics of Change,” former Premier of Bermuda, Dr. the Hon. Ewart Brown, is delighted to return to Jamaica for two special book signings the first to be held on May 26 at the AC Marriott Hotel, Kingston, with the second taking place May 28 at a private residence outside of Kingston. Proceeds from both sales will go to Dr. Brown’s alma mater, St. Jago High School in Spanish Town.
Dr Brown explained that the original plans for people to have their copies signed had to be curtailed as the global pandemic emerged soon after the book’s release, stating, “I am looking forward to both events. Covid delayed us, but we could not go much longer without holding these signings.”
A spokesperson said, “In this event-filled memoir, Dr. Brown shares the experiences that shaped him as a physician-politician committed to progressive change, which defined his often-tumultuous time in office. Published in November 2019, the book was an instant bestseller in Bermuda, the United States, and the Caribbean.”
Dr Brown added,” I owe much to Jamaica; the widespread support of my book is a testament to the desire to see our experiences reflected accurately through the written word so the generations to come will know the true history of the region, not only our struggles but also our victories.”
