BEDC To Hold Seminar On EEZ Initiative
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] announced an upcoming info-session and open house style event titled “Fuelling Entrepreneurial Success: A Deep Dive into the BEDC Economic Empowerment Zone [EEZ] Initiative.”
A spokesperson said, “The event, taking place this Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Somerset Incubator Hub, Forth House, 68 Somerset Road, Sandy’s, aims to explore and shed light on BEDC’s role in fostering economic growth and empowering small businesses through its three Economic Empowerment Zones.
“This event offers participants a chance to understand better the BEDC’s core functions and its proactive contribution to the evolution of Bermuda’s business landscape. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover a range of resources and support specifically designed by the BEDC to cater to the unique needs of small businesses, with the aim of driving their success.
“Attendees will learn firsthand about the EEZ initiatives, programs, and services tailored to nurture entrepreneurship, stimulate innovation, and promote sustainable growth. From startup assistance to financial products, mentorship programs to business counseling, the BEDC provides a comprehensive suite of resources aimed at fostering the prosperity of small businesses.
“The open house will feature industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and BEDC representatives who will share their experiences and success stories. These experts will provide insights on how to leverage the EEZ effectively. In addition, attendees will be able to interact directly with BEDC staff and network with individuals who share a passion for business development in Bermuda.”
Speaking about the event, Ondreyah Rochester, MSME Officer, and Officer responsible for the Somerset EEZ, expressed, “Our mission at BEDC is to unlock the entrepreneurial spirit within Bermuda’s business community. This open house event is a golden opportunity for small businesses to explore the expansive opportunities available through the BEDC, gain practical insights, and form valuable connections.”
