Senior Golfers Society Donate $4600 To PALS
The Bermuda Senior Golfers’ Society donated $4,600 to the P.A.L.S. charity, with the funds raised at their annual Charity Tournament.
A spokesperson said, “Chris Fullerton, President of the Bermuda Senior Golfers’ Society, recently presented a cheque to Colleen English DeGrilla, Executive Director of P.A.L.S., to the value of $4,600. This sum represents money raised by members of the Society at their annual Charity Tournament by way of entry fees, as well as an additional donation in memory of Paul Lowry, a long standing member of the Bermuda Senior Golfers who passed away recently.
“The BSGS was founded in 1952 and today has some 90 members, although not all are active. Weekly events in various formats are played year-round on courses throughout the island at discounted rates. The Tournament Season runs from late September until early May, whilst a more informal Summer Programme operates in the other months. Members must have reached the age of 55 and be residents of Bermuda or annual visitors. Further information about the Society and application material for those interested may be obtained by contacting the Secretary, Jim Ferguson, at bermudaseniors@gmail.com.”
